Help with unknown plant?

I was in a short forestry training session on the three poisonous plants. I know my poisonous plants really well, Poison Oak, Poison Ivy, and Poison Sumac. However, the instructor said that Poison Oak has "5 leaves" and described them (not in these words) palmate arranged... meaning the leaves radiate from a single point. Yes, granted this instructor was new and young, but I KNOW that Poison Oak does not have 5 leaves, and does not look anything like what was drawn on the board. Just because I am curious to see what this was mistaken for, what was the plant they probably drew? I live in the Eastern United States if it helps, and here is some more detail on the visual description of the plant: 5 leaves, radiating palmate from a point, the three leaves going forward on the set being bigger than the two pointing the opposite direction.

I am a reservist who got hurt on active duty time and need help?

I am a Marine Corps reservist that got hurt at MOS school in early 2008 and again at annual training summer 2008. It is a jacked up shoulder. After following up with it for quite a while(months) I got knowhere and dropped it. It has over the last 3 years flared up and got worse and at times it goes away. Our corpsman have told me that claim got kicked or it is no good but i have been to medical and got documented. Well now it is a serious problem. I dont know how to go about getting it taken care of(do i talk to my units medical ar just go to a VA). I cant afford to go to pay and get it looked at and fixed out of pocket for the marine corps to maybe decide to pay for next century. this is going to be really long, im sorry, but i really need help. I have love horseback riding my whole life and all the toys i ever played with and all the movies i ever watched involved horses (im 14 now so thats not really the case anymore) and i starte taking riding lessons when i was 7 but then stopped after a year and then i started again last september. i started out going once a week just for my lesson but then i got a new instructor an i asked her if i could come out and help around the barn sometimes and she said yes so i came out on mondays and wednesdays then one of my friend started taking lessons on fridays so i would go out on fridays too. now i go there everyday after school, even if i plan on riding or not, and i stay till 6pm (i get out of school at 2:30). i just dont go on saturdays or sundays except when we have to get ready for a show. im there most of the time now and my friends want me to hang out with them more but i would rather be at the barn and this week i havent been able to go there as much cuz i had to go to a bunch of parties... i havent been there since teusday (its saturday today so it has been like 4 days)... and i was at a sleepover party thursday night and was up and running around and active till like 2am and then i went to sleep an woke up at 9:30am (friday) then went to a party from 5-9pm that same day. i got to sleep (at my house) by like 11 that night. today (saturday) i am supposed to go to a tennis lesson from 2-3 then a party from 5-9pm but im not going cuz i had a breakdown and was crying hysterically a lil while ago from being over tired. usually i go to bed at like 9:30pm. but when i was crying i started thinking about how i havent been to the barn and i started crying even harder and i wanted to go to the barn right that second to be with the horses, but i didnt tell my mom that, so heres my question now that i gave u some background info: do u think i have anxiety? or do you think im just over tired? thank u!!!!!

From what my friends did for GCSE PE, they had to do 3 (may have been 4) different sports and video themselves doing it to prove they do that sport. You do not get any instruction in the sports you pick, it is part of the coursework. So for riding on of my friends took a video of a riding lesson she had (just a normal lesson at the riding school she normally goes to). It was only riding not stable management, she filmed herself doing a short dressage routine & a course of jumps. As it is a peace of coursework the school do nothing to help you with it, so you have get someone to film you whilst riding (your own or a riding centre horse), the school don't provide you with a horse or any training all that has to be sourced yourself. & you can do flat, jumping, or a mixture - what ever you want really.

I Feel Really Sick? What is this and how can I get rid of it?

I get stomachaches every day, but I'm not sure if this is just part of the daily routine. On Wednesday, I was at the barn my mom works at doing some chores, and I overheard the owner and one of the instructors at the farm talking about how someone that was really sick was there the day before. Apparently they threw up and had diarrhea in the bathroom for a long time. I used the Bathroom before this conversation not knowing. My mom said I'm fine and I didn't get it, but i'm not so sure. today, My stomach made weird gurgling noises and I ate thinking i was hungry, but now i feel awful, warm and like I'm going to throw up. Am I really sick, or is it just part of the daily regimen?

There were many instances where people got frustrated teaching me something. Does this happen to you often? For example when I was getting driving lessons, I was taught something that didn't make sense and as I was trying to make sense of it the instructor moved on to teaching about other things. This happened with me learning how to play poker too. Even though I know how to play poker and drive now, it bugs me that these people were frustrated when teaching me. Now I know that the base pay for an E1 is like $1,400 a month. I got this papy from my recruiters' labeled Application Compensation Evaluator claim that I could be making $31,000 a year. Now it says that my salary is 16,220 but it adds in 16,049 in allowance. I highly doupt I'll be getting married and having kids that first year I'm in the Navy so where the heck are they getting thiese allowances from? Filling my prescription early due to vacation?

So I will be studying abroad from June 15th til August 31st and my doctor who knew this prescribed me 2 months worth of my adderall medication even though I just filled my previous prescription about a week ago. When I went to refill the script he wrote my insurance said they do not do vacation overrides and I could not refill for another few weeks. This made me worried and I suggested to my doctor that he at least change the prescription strength from 20mg to 10mg so I could at least still get a new prescription and have it for while I am overseas. He denied this claim believing it was a way of trying to trick the insurance companies and that I'd be better off paying from pocket which would be over $100 dollars. I will not do that! Was my doctor correct in this or should I try speaking with him again? I prefer not to go 2 months without a medication I was prescribed to and feel like I need. Please help!

We had to do about a fifteen minute march holding the rifles in the same position the whole way, I could hold my rifle any longer cos my arm wouldn't take it ne more but the 2 adults that wer ther just td me to get on with it basically and then we went into the ring and were bout to do a display but o was in tears then one of the adults come over to me and took the rifle off me for a bit but the gave it bak and made me start the rouitne and then I was crying agen half way thru and it took 1 of the instructors who weren't doing the parade to come and take the rifle off me and pull me out. How do I thank him enough??

Need help on how to tell something to an instructor?

If you are injuring your self you should stop doing what ever exercise that may be causing the injury. Just tell the instructor that you are injured and can not continue the program. It does not really matter what he thinks because you can do what ever you want you. After you healed try some less demanding exercises.

Question about noninfantry MOS in the Marine Corps?

Okay, my original MOS was an 03xx but I left for boot camp a month earlier and ended up getting stuck with a POG supply job. I enlisted because I wanted to experience life as an infantryman as crazy as it sounds. But my question is for those of you that may know what I'm talking about, how much time outside of the wire will I see? I don't want to be a FOBbit, I want to feel like I'm doing my part for the Marine Corps and actually fighting. I was told in MCT that I could volunteer for patrols and the QRF. Is this true? Also, in the other MCT training platoon, we had a combat instructor whose original MOS was Warehouse clerk but he'd had combat experience, did he volunteer also? Anything is much appreciated! Can you transfer from Navy Reserve to Active Duty?

Navy and Air Force,, actually all 4 branches (+ Coast Guard) are overmanned right now, but it's not impossible to get in. Simply because the nature of the organization, they keep recruiting people and dumping people at the same time. Although Navy is overmanned, it seems like Equipment Operator (EO) and Master at Arms (MA) are always hiring, or certain ratings may have openings at a certain time for some weird reasons.

I mean, they associate with these girls who were somewhat relationally aggressive to me; rolling their eyes when I pleasantly say hello, laughing at me blatantly, making little snide comments about me being ''the retiring type'', shushing me when I speak in their clique, being dismissive of my thoughts and overriding them with their own from a big ego and this type of thing. I qualified for the Navy but I'm QNJ. Now what?

I'm 25 years old and a female. I'm already an EMT, so of course I want to be a corpsman. Hopefully fmf. I know everyone and their mom wants to be a corpsman, but I also know things change daily at MEPS. There was a spot open two days before I was there. I'm going reserve so I know my odds are a little better since most people do active duty. I just don't know what to do now. Do I wait for my recruiter to call me once a job opens up? At the beginning we get a slip that we write the dates and times that we drive at on. At the end we give it to our teacher and it's like proof that we drove. It also helps remind us when we are driving. I lost mine. Has this happened to anyone else? If so what happened? I have only driven 3 times so i still have to drive 3 more times so I'm hoping my instructor won't care and I can get a new one, but I'm scared I like won't be able to get my permit or something.

So there's three main events for girls in rodeo. Barrel racing, goat tying, and breakaway roping. When trying out for the college rodeo team, do I HAVE/NEED to be great at all three? I'm not gonna lie, I'm great at barrel racing and have an amazing horse. On the other hand I suck and goat tying and am all right in breakaway. So would they accept me for my skill in barrel racing and just train me in the other two, or are they looking for an all around member. So I've been thinking about this a lot; Muslim women are typically not supposed to expose any skin, therefore they wear burkas. With that being said, would a Muslim girl be able to become a ballerina? Why do you get treated like crap during the first year of public safety jobs?

I'm about to graduate the Border Patrol academy in a few weeks. The consensus among my instructors is that we are going to get treated like crap our first year. Talking to a few of my class mates who have prior law enforcement that seems to be the norm where ever you go. Is rinsing their legs actually damaging?

I've never heard that rinsing a horse's leg is damaging. Water Therapy is a effective tool when you're trying to reduce swelling on a horse's leg. Ive had vets tell me this. Its great to rinse mud off the legs before applying boots because its not only uncomfortable for you're horse it, it can cause infections. but you want the leg to be dry when putting on boots as well. So rinse then dry(: hope this helps! btw Ive heard cold water is fine to use!!!

I accidentally wiped my Sims 3 account. How do I recover it?

I've been playing sims3 for a while and invest alot of time in it, but just today I was saving my progress, and accidentally turned the PS3 off while it was in the process of saving. ASVAB NOT RIGHT PLEASE HELP!?

Should parents/guardians ensure their child can swim?

Hi, I was just curious if anyone besides me thinks it's a parent's responsibility to ensure that their child knows how to swim. In my opinion, it's a skill that I feel no one should be deprived of, but some parents just never ensure their child is taught how to do. I feel it's like riding a bike or tying a shoe: It's one of those things every child should learn growing up, especially if they live on the coast or close to a beach (not sure if the bike riding and shoe tying examples were good, but you guys get my point, I'm sure). If not swim, at least float or keep their head above water. There are plenty of children who grow into adults not knowing how to swim. I'm actually one of those people. I'm 20 and cannot swim (and neither can my 3 brothers), so I'm currently taking classes at the YMCA. I was talking to some of my co-workers (who's ages range from 21-23) about it and they can't swim either. Anyway, I just got tired of it. Every time I go to a pool, I have to stay in the shallow end, or hold the edge when I go to the deep end. I ask some of my friends that do know to try to show me but no luck. That's why I went to the YMCA to get a trained instructor to show me (and those adults are grown now, so they can take it upon themselves to do the same). Classes are going good. I know how to float now so I'm progressing. I just feel I should've been taught sooner, especially when I was living with my father years back since my father is retired Navy. I can't remember back that far as a child if I had asked him or not, but a child shouldn't have to ask. It should be obvious to a parent that they should teach or make arrangement to have their child learn how to swim. However, at 20 I can't sit around and wonder why I can't swim when I'm well enough to take it upon myself, so that's why I took action (although I wish I did it sooner, like, in my high school years). But it's not like a little child can teach him/herself or go on their own to the YMCA or community center and sign up. I know there are some limitations for some, like paying for the lessons. However, it shouldn't take the 18 years it takes for a child to grow up for a parent to save up money for swimming lessons. Also, there may not be any source of water nearby. But most cities have a public pool, community center, YMCA or something for the public nearby, so MOST parents shouldn't have the problem of finding water to teach their child. Also, some children may have permanent disabilities, which anyone can obviously understand. Maybe the parent cannot teach because the parent can't swim either. But that parent can make arrangements for someone else to teach the child or sign them up for classes like I mentioned earlier. I'm not necessarily labeling parents as downright awful, horrible, neglectful parents if they don't ensure their child is taught, but I'm saying that parents with a typical average child should take responsibility and DO THEIR BEST to ensure that their child can swim at an early age, as opposed to that child growing up not knowing this skill. I know when I have kids, I'm making sure that they are taught at an early age so they don't have to endure being an adult without knowing how to swim. You never know, it may just save that person's life if they're ever in danger in the water. I apologize for the length, but what is your opinion on this?

I recently was sworn in as a Corpsman. I have been given mixed answers because all the information that I have heard about where the "A" school is, was from 2008 and 2009. I heard that they have changed the "A" school to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. Is this true?

Marines don't have medics or corpsmen, they use the Navy for everything medical. So if you want to join now and work your way to becoming a RN/PA/MD, join either the navy or army as a corpsman or medic. Both branches have programs designed to help enlisted go through different levels of medical schooling. You don't have to be a corpsman/medic to qualify for the programs, but it helps.

If you have a really good teacher around 3 years. If not, it may be less than that. Yes, I did say less not more. You really need strong ballet technique along with a strong body and that takes time, There is no shortcut to that. Often recreational dance teachers put their students up too soon due to either the pressure of losing the student to another school, or due to not knowing better because of the training they came from. When you go en pointe, the transition should be seamless. If you cannot do it on flat, you wont be able to do it en pointe.

But wait, hear me out first. I've been active in the Navy for about 5 months now. I was in Pensacola as an AC, got dropped and now in great lakes as a corpsman, waiting to be classed up. I've been extremely depressed since ive been in, although its nothing new. I've always had a depression problem. It's something I've never gone to a doctor for, and ive never considered any medications. But the reason I want to get myself discharged is not so much the depression, but more directly the fact that I don't want to be a part of the military. It's not what I thought it would be at all. The reason I joined was to get away from home and all the people. People at home were so spoiled and disrespectful and I wanted to be in a place of respect and structure. When I got into the military, or rather now that im out of boot camp, the people here are so... fake. And so brainwashed, in a sense. It's as if they've completely lost sight of more important things in life because the Navy has got them so wrapped up in Bullshit, excuse my language. At the the people back home had a sense of genuity to them. they were real, genuine. It's as if those civilians really understood this universe and what's important, they were all free. And happy. They know and understand where beauty lies in this life. And it definitely isnt here, in this Navy. This Navy is lacking so much genuity. Yes, honor courage and commitment are our core values. But not one person in this Navy i know holds those values in any sense at all. The real core value of the navy is something more like.. hmm.... "Every man for himself." At least that's How I feel about it. But i want out, and back into the real world with real people and I want to experience a more genuine meaningful life. Anyone else agree?

My horse back riding lesson horse made riding unbearable....?

And I quit horseback riding awhile back, mostly because of the instructor and frustation at riding that horse .Let me give you some examples and background information. The instructor bought this 20-something year old horse that would not follow any commands, although she had a previous owner. She hardly was even able to when she arrived at the stables. Her first rider was a 9 year old basically training it, which I find astonishing and highly unsafe (the little girl ended up quiting too.) My instructor is a terrific rider and trainer, but refused to take the time to work often with this horse because "she was too uncomfortable, hurt her back, and didn't have the time," as said in the instuctor's own words. The horse was very sway backed to the point of where a trot was spine jolting, and made worse by the horse's nervousness. It was always very irritated, frightened and I had to work hard at CONSTANTLY keeping her head down and relaxed, which she always tried to fling around while foaming at the mouth. I have always kept confidence in myself while riding her, and kept calm which was my instructors main motivation for always putting me on the horse. There was a rainy day when she spooked and tried to run me over. There were countless days where I would have to FIGHT with this horse to pick her hoofs. There was always a thought in my head that at anymore this horse could wipe me off the side of a wall. This is really the only horse she would put me on because I outgrew the rest and I was the only one most experienced to ride her. My question is, am I wrong in thinking that she was trying to kill me? :p but seriously, is this really bad instructing and if I was to continue lessons again, should I not return to her(she's the closest in my area)? Or should i suck it up and see it as riding a difficult horse taught me much more than I would have learned on any other horse?

What decides what navy base you get stationed at?

The Navy decides where someone goes. It's all based off your rank and MOS, and the rank and MOS of people who are leaving other duty station, who's getting promoted and who's getting out. He will get to give a wish list of where he wants to go, but that doesn't mean he'll get one of those places. He will find out about 2 weeks before his finishes A school where he'll be going.

In the network and adapter settings, you should be able to set up the internet to connect automatically so you don't have to manually do it each time. It should remember this connection and always pull up first. You should also be able to go into the Control Panel and set your Bluetooth adapter to always stay on. I am not sure which operating system you are running, so you may have to look up how to find these settings. Hope this helps you out a bit!

At my community college (tx) they offer Phlebotomy courses and internships with a local hospital. So you might want to check there. I would think he would already have the necessary "hours" needed since he was a corpsman so he might not have to take a full course but I am not sure of course. ANTARES ANTARES ANTARES. You get a much better saddle for the price. Antares are just great saddles - good leather, well put together, comfortable. I have never been a Pessoa fan. Look in the right places, I've seen nice Antares go for $1,500. Scour the internet and do a lot of research, contact anyone with connections, Ho to tack stores, look at private sellers. You'll be bound to find a deal somewhere.

Setting Defaults in MWord?

I am using an HP laptop w/Windows 7 operating system. I installed an old version of Microsoft Word (I think 2001 or 2003 or something) and it works fine. However, there are two things I'd like to accomplish: 1. In Page Setup, setting the margins to 0.5, not the standard 1.25, permanently; and 2) Setting the Print default to Draft instead of normal. I do this regularly but once I close and reopen Word, it returns to the default. Can I override this, and if so, how? TIA!

Medical Discharge for Depression?

Hi I'm currently in the Navy as a Corpsman and I've been developing depression for about 6 months now. I'm currently on my 3rd type of med's trying to get it fixed but nothing is working. I've been failing at work and can't seem to do anything right and finally agreed with my psychiatrist that If I were out things might get better. He has recommended I get discharged. My main questions are this. Will it be a medical discharge or administrative? How long will this process take? Does anyone know if I will keep full VA benefits and the GI Bill or Post 9/11 Bill? Please do not leave responses about sucking it up and finishing out my contract. I wanted to serve and I am proud doing it and I hate that I can't go greenside because of my problems right now. I don't know about the other ratings but Hospital Corpsman is one of the hardest ratings to get currently from what I hear. And even if you do get it, be aware that you may be stationed with the Marines.

Need help with print screen?

Ok here is the assignment. I need to create a file folder called Performance Threads and put 3 documents into that plus a new file folder that has two documents. Easy. Did that. Than I need to make a jpg copy of the print screen. Include two more files one from paint and one from wordpad in a new zip folder called Lesson 2. Ok including the files was easy. I have the zip folder that has the word and paint file made, but I am struggling to get the print screen saved. The instructor wants to see a print screen of the folder one one side and the files on the other side saved as prntscrn.jpg. I can email all the files to you if need be. I do know computers, but am suprisingly, finding this task to be hard. HELP!

Lol it's so cute an ARMY guy TRIED to answer you about a Marine question, but I can do you one better. I am a Marine and I happen to be a 3531, (3533's got disbanded and are now all primarily 31's with a secondary MOS of 33.) But anyway, I have been in Motor T for 7 years. In those 7 years I have gone to combat, and assisted the infantry like you said. However, in the war of today, the fight is wherever you happen to be when outside the wire. So just know if you go into Motor T you could find yourself in a firefight or ambush. So, moving on, in the rear your duties will include washing, fueling, loading and off loading personnel, gear, equipment, ammunition and supplies. In war you could be doing the same thing or you could volunteer to get other licenses. I.E. an ambulance license. I got one as a PFC and worked with the Navy Corpsmen in Iraq. Whenever someone was hurt or needed medical aid, I took the corpsman and the ambulance out to the site, and broguht the wounded back to the hospital. As an ambulance driver I also got to go to EMP school, just in case the DOC goes down. You could also volunteer to get a TT (tractor trailer) license (long haul gear and DRMO) , Emergency Vehicle license (become a roadmaster, I did that as a Sergeant), a bus license (drive school buses on base or work at a school house, I did that as a Lance Corporal) As an operator you will also be responsible for 1st and 2nd echelon maintence on the tacticle vehicles, all diesel. Windows 7 dual boot problem?

I have a computer that I run with windows 7 and it works fine, until now. I attempted to make a dual boot with windows xp so that I could play an old computer game and now the computer won't work at all. Now at startup I just get a black screen with a blinking cursor, and before that I had all kinds of problems. This game is definitely not worth it. Any way I attempted to install xp on a partition I created on my main hard drive and I read that windows 7 won't boot up because xp overrides the MBR or something like that. So is there a way to erase the partition with xp on it so that I can go back to just having windows 7 again? Remember I can't get into the OS as of now so it will have to be done through the bios or some type of bootable disc. Please help

You do not have to take drivers ed to get your license in TN. If your sister is a licensed driver, she can help you. However, you should have a more experienced driver with you most of the time while you are learning. There are many things that you learn from years of experience behind the wheel. That's not something a 19-year-old has enough time to learn. Insurance companies basically consider anyone under 25 as still learning.

How do you find good instructors/mentors?

You find good mentors by moving around to be honest. How do you know the trainers aren't good, have you met or talked with all of them? I think any respectable trainer has one thing they can pass on to a person, and with each trainer you can learn something new, like a new technique. But it's still true, you can't just stay in one place and allow the trainers to come to you. I would think attending horse shows, even if you aren't riding, and talk to the trainers at the show. Attend clinics in your area and outside your area if it's possible. I learned a lot of things from attending horse shows and clinics, and met a lot of knowledgeable people in the field.

So I want to become a Navy Corpsman and then attend fmss. From then on work my way and prepare myself for BUD/S or SARC training. Haven't really decided yet cuz they do similar jobs but ever since I was little I've wanted to be a SEAL corpsman. But I'd gladly serve as either. But that all starts with getting HMA rate which is currently overmanned. I've been talking to my recruiter and he keeps trying to talk me out of being stuck upon HMA, telling me they haven't had any openings for corpsman in a month or two and that I should take another rate and if HMA opens up before I get shipped out they will switch me into HMA. I really just don't want to get stuck with a job I don't want and never get a chance to try and become a SEAL corpsman or SARC. Any advice? Should I take a different rate and pray I get switched or try and wait it out?

How do I fix an ink cartridge for my HP printer, that has worked before, but is now coming back incompatible?

I have an HP Deskjet F300 series printer. I recently purchased new ink cartridges for it and it printed fine for about a month. Now, while my supply levels are almost full, I'm getting an error message stating that "The black print cartridge is faulty or incompatible with this printer". Paramedic not finding work... Should I consider a career change?

First time asking this.... I'm a graduate of an AS Paramedic Science course over 2 years now. I've been working for a non emergent transport service that has recently gone out of business. In the last couple of years, I've been testing and interviewing with county, city and private services in my area without any job offers. I have all the qualifications, I do well on the testing, I even get 10 extra points for being a Veteran! That being said I served 5 years in the Navy with 2 combat tours in the gulf as a field corpsman. During OIF I was attached to a Shock Trauma Platoon. For entry level positions I get told to get experience. I try not to take it personal, but it hurts when I have to hear that and I understand the differences between the military and civilian fields. I'm getting the feeling I'm not wanted around here, but I'm a home owner and selling my home in this market and moving isn't an option as of yet. I would like to explore my options, but I worked so hard to become a medic and I don't want to waste it. What should I do?

the questions on the actual test are nothing like that, i don't think thats the correct disk.. i'd advise you to buy a different one and i'd also advise you to buy the highway code book aswell if you don't already have it as this includes everything you need to know for your theory test and although it may be boring it will definitely be worth it in the long term. also, i sat my theory test two weeks ago so no they haven't changed it recently, they still have questions where you pick multiple answers!

If you're 5'1 and 118 lbs you are at a healthy weight range, however, when you do not exersize of any kind, and eat a lot of carbs, it can mess up your body. Start taking a multi-vitamin and start walking more. Eat healthier and small portions. Also, you need to see a Dr. Your heart rate shouldnt be that high just from not exersizing, not at your age. Get checked out.

Did this happen to anyone else while taking segment 1 of drivers ed?

At the beginning we get a slip that we write the dates and times that we drive at on. At the end we give it to our teacher and it's like proof that we drove. It also helps remind us when we are driving. I lost mine. Has this happened to anyone else? If so what happened? I have only driven 3 times so i still have to drive 3 more times so I'm hoping my instructor won't care and I can get a new one, but I'm scared I like won't be able to get my permit or something.

I've been an EMT for two years now and love every minute of it. A few months ago, I decided to join the navy reserves, and told my recruiter I only want reserve HM. He told me there are never any openings, and I was aware of this. He keeps trying to get me to change my mind and telling me other rates do medical like aircrew and all. I only want HM and thats frustrating him. Now, he said he has a dental tech corpsman that's on leave that he wants me to talk to. I know HMDA's are corpsman and go to corpsman school also, but then they go to dental school for 40 days. I don't want that!! My recruiter is trying to say that I won't be working as a dental tech hardly at all. I just don't know what to do. I hate teeth and want nothing to do with it but I know it's still a corpsman.... Does state tax laws override school tax laws? (In Texas)?

We live in a county where if you have a new vehicle, you have to pay a school tax on your vehicle. My husband will use this vehicle for work, and according to the Texas state law (Sec 11.254) you are exempt from taxation if you use your vehicle for work. When he talked to you the lady about petitioning this, she said school tax is different and basically they can still tax us. Can anyone show me a law where is proves her statement or ours? I just re-enlisted last month and I re-enlisted to convert to corpsman because my rate now is currently over manned. Training and self-control?

My friend is a karate-ka and his school trains full contact with no gear. There is this individual that is a fellow student that, according to him, lacks self-control with his techniques. On numerous occasions he has hit my friend in the face and though many times it's been an accident, my friend fears that his lack of self-control could potentially hurt the younger students as sometimes the instructors will spar with them. By young I mean individuals from the ages of 12 to 16. Now, recently, this guy broke my friend's nose. The reason why I tell you this is because I asked him if this could go against the guy when he goes to test for his second degree black belt. He said it might not because his kyoshi teaches things for real life situations. I feel that, as a martial artist, there is more to martial arts than just being able to hurt people. My question: Should this guy be allowed to test for his second degree?

At our previous Banquet, I was awarded the certificate of 3 years completion..and with that I should be able to come out as an E3 at BMT [Right?].. So is dropping the program really a wise decision? I want to study to be a Doctor of Pathology at Louisiana Tech University. Should I go into their AFROTC program first, or head straight to BMT after high school? Also, I would like to go to Officer School..I'm severely confused by the entire process of things. :(. I think I would like to go into the Reserves.. I'm currently in a steady relationship with someone whom I would consider my high school sweetheart and my future husband. Can I sue my school?? HELP!!?

I attended a school program and half way through, I'm in the process of withdrawing, The school I'm attending is a popular tech school and will not return my money. My program was $25,000 and my in school payments were $400 since December of 2010 till May of 2011. I was very dissatisfied with the program, my instructors were so disorganized, we never knew what was planned for the day, my grades were horrible because of everything, everyday one of my instructors spent more time telling us her life stories then teaching, she walked in late on a regular, we once sat for an hour before another instructor showed up, also I recently took my final and it was such a great score they flat out to my face accused me of cheating, even though I had someone monitoring me in the room, they said, the score I got didn't reflect my recent grades. I left all my stuff in another room and had no way of cheating, I studied so hard for that and I'm such an honest person it was heartbreaking. Can I train to be a corpsman straight out of boot camp?

Hi I'm 16 and going to be enlisting in the navy in 2 years. I am currently in njrotc and I got an 81 on my asvab. I was thinking of becoming a corpsman due to the fact that many of my friends are marines or future marines and I was wondering if I could go to corpsman training straight out of boot camp.

I am 15 years old and have been playing golf for 13 months i am shooting high 70's to low 80's at courses all over South Carolina i am a 9 handicap at my local course and actually work there i play 36 holes everyday and sometimes more. I practice 3 hours a day on the range and practice green. I also play on my high school varsity team, Every one says i am doing great and i have a great swing. My golf instructor who is a scratch golfer says i am a natural. what are my chances of making the PGA or Nationwide tours in the next 5 years.... i am hoping to get a college scholarship i am a freshman in high school right now.... How is it being a Navy Corpsman?

I really was set on enlisting into the Marine corps (03 field) until recently. Being a medic has always appealed to me and I know the Corpsman get the chance to work with Marines. Im currently 20 and attending community college, I really need a challenge in life, and i believe this could be the challenge I am looking for. I think serving with the grunts as their devil doc would be a great honor. I always work hard, never quit toward what I aim for, I would hope to one day work toward being a SARC. How to get over my fear of eating in front of people?

I have a fear of eating in front of people in school and in front of even my best friends. Recently, my Jrotc instructor had talked to me about the fact I wasn't eating in school and said that it was all in the mind. And now we have a banquet coming up with all of the cadets... So Im trying to get over the fear of eating in front of people before then, So I can actually enjoy the banquet. Any ideas on how to get over this ridiculous fear? ):

Ive passed my driving test and looking to get a car. The plan was to get a car and put my dad as the first named driver and add me on. From what ive found its around �2800+ which is a lot of money. My driving instructor says Pass Plus is a good idea for when you pass your test, will it lower my insurance? Or is it just a myth?

Can Hospital Corpsman be stationed on carriers?

I am a HM now, but I am serving my first tour as shore duty, I'm stationed in Portsmouth, VA. So my next tour will be a sea tour. I'm still so confused on how sea duty works for HMs? I've heard that they do not get stationed on carriers. which is what I want most! My fianc�e is an AT...so all his deployments have been on carriers..and the pictures he has...the places he's gone...I want too experience all of that, and I'm starting to get worried that with the job I have, I wont get too.

What can I do to prepare for this class?

So I am going to be taking a class that I would normally take when I would be one or two years older. However, I am going to take it in the fall. I do not have the textbook and the subject is biology. I am pretty good at it, it's just I have some trouble with math which I know we'll be using a lot of. I also don't have the best handwriting and I know my instructor likes neat handwriting any way to improve that? Also anything that might help me be ready to go into biology? AND any tips for having to go into a class with older people?

How to avoid snacking?

I'm okay in my eating choices, but what really bothers me is my uncontrollable snacking! It's as if food is my drug. I feel as if I am borderline with my weight and want to take more control by avoiding snacking. When I am in my room and I get an idea for the ice cream cone in the freezer it almost engulfs me. I even tell myself I can do without it and I don't need it, it's just a mess of empty calories but it is as of my brain overrides these thoughts and I always end up walking to the kitchen to get it. I live wi my dad and sister so I can't dictate what my dad buys because if he feels like he wants an ice cream when grocery shopping, then he'll buy some for the house. My problem is self control. It is overwhelming. And there are alternatives for me that are healthy, but when I want ice cream, there is no chance I'll be satisfied with substituting that for carrots. It's about taste, not hunger with snacks. Has anyone had/has this problem? I need tips for this because it almost makes me feel ashamed that I have no control. Anyone know what I'm going through and got over this?

Navy Corpsman - Fleet Marine Training+Duties?

I just recently signed on to the US Navy to be a Hospital Corpsman. I didn't want a job in a hospital somewhere, so I signed on to be a Fleet Marine (my first choice in the military was to be a Marine). I know this requires me to serve in combat situations as first response medical to combat wounds as well as other, simpler issues. That was one of the primary reasons I signed on for this rating. I was curious what the specific training is for this rating and what I can expect in the field once I am assigned to my Marine unit. I have read many conflicting reports as to where training will take place (I know "A" School is at Great Lakes, IL, however I am confused as to where "C" School will take place. I have heard Camp Pendleton, Camp Lejeune or a Camp in TX). As to the "what to expect in the field" element of the question, is it more likely that I will be in a field hospital on the front lines, or will I actually be in the bush with the Marines doing recon or being involved in other combat situations?

What are the chances of being put with a Marine Corps reserve unit being a reservist? Im a Male, dont know if that will help my chances, I Live in the Bay area and I know they have some Marine infantry and other reserve units around here, so what are the chances of going FMF while in the reserves....Could you possibly get FMF in your contract..?
