Is it difficult for a Navy Corpsman to go Green Side?

I leave for Navy bootcamp in June, then will have Corpsman "A" school afterwards. How does one go about going Green side after "A" school? Also, is it difficult to go Green Side? my recrutier had no idea about any of these questions, so if i could get these clearified it would be greatly appreciated
