Navy FTS Dental Corpsman?

I am currently starting dental classes this Monday. What I'm curious about is how duty stations are chosen. Do I have choice in where I would like to go? How long do I stay at that duty station? Please tell me any other information that would be important to know. I greatly appreciate it.
